acca middle east signs mou with manchester business school middle east centre ACCA Middle East signs MOU with MBS Middle East CentreDubai, UAE: A partnership designed to enable more people in the region to have an opportunity to study accountancy, enter the finance profession and influence business in the Middle East has been developed by ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and Manchester Business School (MBS) Middle East Centre in Dubai.

Helen Brand OBE, ACCA’s Chief Executive, and Randa Bessiso, Director – Middle East, MBS, have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that has established a fast-track entry route for ACCA members in the region into the part-time Global MBA programme offered by MBS through the Middle East Centre. Meanwhile, MBS will follow ACCA’s accreditation process to establish exemptions for MBS Global MBA students in the Middle East preparing to study for the ACCA Qualification.

As part of the MoU, both organisations will encourage networking across their large and growing professional communities in the region, and support and encourage ongoing professional development by creating privileged access to programmes. ACCA supports over 2,500 members and more than 15,000 students and affiliates working and studying in the Middle East; MBS Middle East supports 1,800 MBA students in the region, where MBS also has around 2,000 alumni.

This partnership provides a great opportunity for ACCA members in the region who want to further their financial careers through networking with their peers and expanding their skills. Randa Bessiso, Director – Middle East, Manchester Business School, added: “This new MOU builds on our strong partnership with ACCA – MBS Middle East Centre in Dubai was the first of our seven MBS international centres worldwide to be awarded Registered CPD Provider Status by ACCA. Finance professionals are becoming more influential in business management, influencing strategy and decision-making. Through our collaboration with ACCA, MBS is helping to support ACCA members in the region broaden their business perspectives and competencies through professional education, and accelerating their business careers in the process. We are delighted to start this new phase of our relationship with ACCA in the Middle East.”
