adib named employer of the year by higher colleges of technology ADIB Named Employer of the Year by HCTAbu Dhabi, UAE: Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) has been named Employer of the Year by The Higher Colleges of Technology ( HCT ) – Dubai Women’s College. The award recognises ADIB for its support for UAE national youth and its ongoing participation with HCT career fairs as well as its commitment to UAE national student work placements.

Responding to this award, WaheebKhazraji, Head of Human Resources at ADIB, said: “As a leading local bank, we have an obligation to do what we can to help the UAE’s growing talent pool find jobs that best leverage their skills and talents. Our on-going collaboration with The Higher Colleges of Technology helps us to achieve this goal. ADIB is the premier Islamic bank in the UAE and already has the highest number of qualified UAE national bankers, but we are always looking to inspire young Emiratis into careers with us and into the banking sector generally.”

ADIB has invested heavily in its leadership training programme, which takes new graduates through both classroom and on-the-job training. The programme has been recognised for its professionalism and world-class curriculum. The bank is also an active participant at career fairs in the UAE, aiming to attract top talent for the future generations of its leadership.

ADIB reserves a number of roles every year specifically for fresh graduates coming out of universities in the UAE. Over the last three years, ADIB has increased its headcount of UAE nationals over 1,200, or 48.1%.Recently and for the third time,ADIB has received the “Human Resource Development Award” for 2014 from the Emirates Institute of Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS) for its work in developing talent, particularly among UAE nationals.
