Abu Dhabi, UAE: The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has held a meeting with a delegation from the Japanese Embassy to discuss the possibility of adding some Japanese universities to the list of universities recommended by the ministry.
The Japanese Embassy at the meeting was represented by Kenji Hirata, Charge d’affaires of the Embassy of Japan, Shinji Suzuki, Second Secretary for Cultural Relations and Information Department of the Embassy.
Youmna Hamad Bodowah, Deputy Assistant Undersecretary for Higher Education and Scientific Research Affairs; Wedad Al Zaabi, Director of the Certificate Equivalency Department, and Asma Al Jabri, Deputy Director of the Department, represented the ministry.
The two sides discussed the mechanism and procedures used by the ministry to choose, publish and adopt the recommended universities, and the possibility of getting more cooperation from the Embassy for more information about the universities in English, particularly given that the information available on their website is in Japanese.
They also highlighted the system of certificate equivalency and the procedures followed, and the possibility of support of the Embassy for the process of communication between the ministry and the universities to save time of the messaging service.
