Abu Dhabi, UAE: H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, on Sunday attended the graduation ceremony of 131 male and female students from the campuses of Emirates National Schools, ENS, in Mohamed bin Zayed City, Abu Dhabi City and Al Ain City.
H.H. Sheikh Mansour stressed that education is a top national priority for the wise leadership of the country, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.
He also said the leadership is interested in an educational system that is based on drivers of innovation and creativity in line with the best recognised international standards and practices.
Educational development, he noted, upholds national identity, social values and traditions and at the same time enhances openness to the scientific progress of the 21st century.
H.H. Sheikh Mansour also noted that Emirates National Schools is successful in adopting teaching methods that promote creativity and create a favourable environment for students to hone their talents in a scientific way and build their capabilities to keep pace with the progress of science and knowledge.
He also urged the graduates to continue to achieve excellence at universities to serve the UAE Vision 2021 and the immense national initiatives including the historic UAE plan to send a probe called Hope to Mars in 2020. The space sector, he added, will attract specialised national human resources, and there will be several other initiatives that will require rare specialities.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education; Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy; Ahmed Juma Al Za’abi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs; Ahmed Mohammed Al Hemairi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs; Ali bin Salim Al Kaabi, Director of the Office of Minister of Presidential Affairs; Amal Al Qubaisi, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Education Council; Dr. Kenneth Vedra, Director-General of Emirates National Schools, and others.
Later, H.H. Sheikh Mansour honoured the graduates and their parents and the strategic partners of Emirates National Schools.
