Abu Dhabi, UAE: The Ministry of Education is looking to hire engineers and fresh graduates from prestigious universities both nationally and internationally to become teachers in state schools.
The move, which is a first for the country, aims to advance opportunities for Emiratis to become better in science, engineering and mathematics.
It comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to ensure future generations have the right skill sets and tools to be able to meet the country’s development ambitions set out in its 2021 vision.
To encourage and support the local teachers, the ministry will also provide salaries and bonuses.
Those who wish to become teachers will have to go through advanced training courses for six months.
